SIA carries out internal audits of management systems, aiming to evaluate and ensure compliance with regulatory references, and the continuous improvement of activities and processes. Sometimes organizations need, at a preliminary stage, or not, to determine the status of the Organization’s compliance in light of a certain benchmark. This diagnostic assessment called Gap Analysis allows you to take a snapshot of the current state of an organization, identifying the gaps for the diagnosed benchmarks or benchmarks and developing a roadmap, with actions and investments, to adjust the management system to comply with the benchmark. under analysis. SIA has qualified security advisors on its staff to ensure this function for its clients. The activities of the safety advisor are those provided for in point 1.8.3 of the Regulation on the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road. How we do it, guaranteeing what is foreseen in the previous point:
- Audit. verify compliance with regulations relating to the transport of dangerous goods;
- Support and Advice:
– advise the company on operations related to the transport of dangerous goods; – define procedures aimed at complying with the requirements relating to the identification of dangerous goods transported; – continuously evaluate the company’s practice in terms of assessing special requirements for dangerous goods transported when purchasing means of transport; – define procedures that allow compliance with ADR provisions and good practices related to the transport of dangerous goods or packaging, filling, loading or unloading operations;
- Annual report: prepare an annual report for the company’s management or, where applicable, the competent authority, on the company’s activities in the transport of dangerous goods. The report is kept for five years and made available to the competent authority.
- Training: appropriate training of the company’s workers, including changes to regulations, and updating records in the respective individual processes;
- Accident report: analyze and, when necessary, prepare reports on accidents, incidents or serious infractions occurred during the transport of dangerous goods or during packaging, filling, loading or unloading operations;

The diagnostic service to assess compliance with the European Regulation on the international transport of dangerous goods by road (ADR), aims to help companies identify and mitigate risks associated with the transport of dangerous materials, ensuring safety and compliance with the ADR Regulation. In the case of one of the other regulations, such as IMDG (sea), RID (rail) or DGR (air), or intermodal, the respective regulation for carrying out the service is considered the reference. What is the objective: – Identification of obligations in terms of ADR or other regulations applicable to the activities carried out by each company; – Support in the implementation/review of procedures; – Carrying out a legal compliance audit to assess the status of compliance with those obligations; – Monitoring of new updates and updating associated procedures; – Carrying out internal training actions on the subjects developed here. How we do it:
- Initial diagnosis of applicability:
– Determination of the activities considered by the ADR (e.g. loading, unloading, packaging, filling, transport, among others), and the dangerous goods covered and respective obligations, including quantities, SDS or technical data sheets for each good, waste, assessment of potential exemptions;
- Compliance assessment
Based on the applicability diagnosis, identification of existing procedures using the ADR Regulation as normative references, and assessment of conformity through the assessment of existing procedures for loading, unloading, packaging, transportation or other activities of dangerous goods. 3. Report, in accordance with the previous points, a report is prepared, which includes the applicability to the activities and goods covered, proposal for improvement or correction actions.
SIA offers a specialized service to help industrial companies manage the use of chemicals, in particular the determination of substances subject to conditions, whether Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), substances subject to restrictions (Annex XVII) and the authorization (Annex XIV), or other obligations in accordance with the requirements of the REACH regulation. The objectives of the service are: – Inventory of chemical products: Assist companies in identifying substances of very high concern present in their products and processes. – Compliance with the REACH Regulation: Helping companies comply with the conditions and requirements defined by the REACH regulation. – Risk Management: Promote occupational and environmental safety through the appropriate management of chemical products. - Initial Diagnosis
– Detailed analysis of industrial processes and products to identify the use of chemical products. – Review of safety data sheets (SDS) and other technical documents to identify substances.
- Substance Identification and Conformity Assessment
– Verification of substances used against the SVHC lists, Annex XVII (substances subject to restrictions) and Annex XIV (substances subject to authorization) of the REACH regulation, and other conditions (e.g. exposure scenarios or maximum exposure values defined in other legislation) . – Assessment of compliance of identified substances with regulatory requirements.
- Creation of Chemical Product Registration
– Creation of a register, or adaptation of an existing one, that allows chemical product inventories to be kept up to date; – Preparation of detailed reports on the compliance status of identified substances and mixtures.
